Information We Collect
When you sign in with Google, the app receives authentication and profile information returned by Google and your auth flow, including your Google user ID, name, email address, given name, family name, profile photo, email verification status, locale, a backend user ID, and a session ID. The app also stores a local onboarding flag in your browser. If you choose to save a trip, the app stores the trip name, selected days, selected features, party size, and the generated trip plan content tied to your account.
How We Use Information
We use this information to sign you in, keep your session active, show your profile, associate saved trips with your account, and provide app functionality you request. We do not use this page to claim collection of analytics or advertising data beyond what is described here.
How Information Is Shared
We do not sell your personal information. Authentication data is processed through Google sign-in and your backend authentication flow, and app data is sent to the backend services required to operate WeOutsideHTX. Information may also be disclosed when required by law or to protect the service and its users.
Data Retention
Authentication-related session data is retained as needed to keep the sign-in flow working and support account access. Saved trips remain associated with your account until they are deleted or removed by the service. Some profile and session data is also stored locally in your browser while you are signed in.
Your Choices
You can choose whether to sign in, whether to save trips, and whether to remain signed in on your device. You can delete saved trips from your profile. Because profile fields come from your Google account, changes to that information generally need to be made with Google.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security of data transmitted to or stored by the service.
Children's Privacy
The service is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and remove it if appropriate.
Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the effective date on this page. Continued use of the service after updates means the revised policy will apply going forward.
